How My Special Editing Offer Works
Christmas is approaching rapidly, and one of the things that means is that my current Editing Offer will expire. It's due to run out on Christmas Day.
It’s a great offer, and I don’t want anyone to miss out on it, so I thought I would take the time to explain in detail how it works.
I have over forty years of experience in editing and assessing fiction, wrote the best-selling book How Stories Really Work (which contains unique and highly workable technology of fiction writing) and can help you bring any piece of fiction to life by doing the following:
Line editing
I will go through your story line by line and fix any points where clarification is needed or communicative power is lacking. If needed, I will point out recurring issues to you so that you can remedy them for the future. All suggested changes are subject to your overriding creative authority as the author, of course.
Highlighted Proofreading
Every spelling error, typo, grammar mistake, punctuation slip, or misuse of verb tense and so on that I spot will be fixed and highlighted in red.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Using my unique knowledge of the mechanics behind successful stories, I can assess for you the strengths and weaknesses of your work and point out any modifications that may be needed to ensure that your story is a hit with readers.
Special Rate
All for only £10.00 ($US13.00) per 1,000 words - so, for example, a 5,000 word story would cost £50.00 ($US65.00) or an 80,000 word novel would cost £800.00 ($US1,020.00).
Documents
Documents must be sent by email as Word docs.
Payment
Payment is accepted in advance via PayPal. Once payment is received, work is scheduled for the earliest possible completion time. Contact me for the correct PayPal address.
Not ready?
If you’d like to take advantage of this offer, but your work isn’t quite ready, please contact me before the deadline and we can work something out.
What clients have said:
If anyone needs a beta reader, I know the best person for that job! He does charge for his services, but you will not regret it — his feedback is thorough and educated and very instructional — it beats the pants off of anything I have ever received in the way of feedback from any other beta reader I've ever had. His name is Grant Hudson, and he is definitely open to new books or stories being sent his way. What you will receive is a critical analysis of your story's construction, and he addresses them in their parts (character, plot, etc.) and explains the methodology that is ideal for each category. Then he tells you how your story stands in relation to each category, and if something should be changed, he explains to you why in very clear, concise terms that still manage to be absolutely enlightening. I cannot praise Grant's services enough! Grant is the owner of Clarendon House Publications, and he knows what he's doing, that much is very, VERY clear. —Amarine
