Introducing Linden Books

I wanted to introduce you to a new publishing imprint called Linden Books, and the best way to do so, I think, is to simply reproduce here what is taking shape on their webpage, which is being hosted by Clarendon House Publications. The page is a work in progress, as you will see, but there's sufficient information there to serve as a first glimpse. Astute readers will perhaps notice that Linden Books has for some time now been advertising their forthcoming book The Adventures of Robin Hood in the Inner Circle Writers' Magazine.

Anyway, here is what they have to say so far:

We inspire hearts by meeting the needs of readers with content that promotes spiritual principles and honours a creator God.

We believe that fiction is a form of communication which offers a unified vision.

We believe that readers have a virtually unlimited desire for the messages we can deliver.

We believe that publishing is a relationship of equals.

We believe that your work and your voice are your own and that our role is to act as a chorus, harmonising with and strengthening what you have to say to make your fiction the best it can be for readers.

Our job is to be invisible.

We expect a high quality of finished manuscripts.

We expect authors to approach the process of communicating with readers with vigour and determination.

Our editors are skilled collaborators, eager to help; our marketers constantly adapt to a changing marketplace and seek out targeted, effective ways to connect readers with your work.

We work with authors who are Christians or who are aligned with a Christian world view. Explicit faith content is not a prerequisite, but a positive spiritual theme is essential.

We are looking for writers who are passionate about their work and message, who are willing to work hard to engage with readers, who have a unique voice and a great attitude.

We publish material which strives to

inspire hearts

promote spiritual principles

honour a creator God

reach a high technical quality

communicate with readers with vigour and determination

convey positive spiritual themes

transmit a unique voice

If any of this is of any interest to you, please bookmark the webpage which you can see here.

I'm sure more will be forthcoming in the near future, but if you have any questions, you can contact them through me:
